Frequently Asked Questions

How many photographs will you take on the day?
I don’t limit the number of photographs I take – I will take as many pictures as there are opportunities. The total will depend on the size of your wedding and the length of your day, but typically it falls somewhere between 800 – 1000 pictures for a full day. I then narrow this selection down to the very best 300– 400, which I work on further to optimise the images before showing you.

Do I get to keep all the pictures?
Yes, part of my service is to give you a CD of all the images from the day. These will be at a high quality suitable for taking prints and without any copyright watermarks for personal use only.

If I hire you, am I guaranteed that you will be the one who shows up on the day to photograph my wedding?
Absolutely. I am the sole photographer so if you book me, you are guaranteed to be communicating with me leading up to the wedding and seeing me on the day itself. In the unlikely event of an injury or sickness beyond my control I shall do my very best to provide you with a photographer who shoots a similar style to mine to cover your wedding.

I would like 2 photographers for my event - do you work with anyone else?
Although my preference is to work alone, there will be occasions where, for whatever reason one photographer will not be able to cover all the key moments. I do use a number of established photographers to help me at these times and am happy to quote you if this something you would like.

How soon will I get to see the pictures?
My aim is to get the pictures post-processed and available to view online within 3 weeks of the event. I believe in working hard to get the pictures turned around for you as soon as possible while maintaining my high standards.

Will you visit the venue before the wedding day?
I tend not to visit the venue before the wedding. This is because lighting and backgrounds change depending on the time of day/year so what may look lovely several weeks before the wedding might look different on the day. However, I do always arrive at the venue in good time to give myself a chance to familiarise myself with the surroundings and scout out good locations, shooting angles and backdrops to use during the day.

What kind of camera do you use? What happens if your equipment breaks down during the wedding?
I use Canon’s range of digital SLR cameras with their professional series lenses. I bring backups of all my main equipment so in the very unlikely event that something should break down, I can quickly pick up a spare and continue working without any fuss. I have public liability insurance.

Where are you based and how far will you travel?
I'm in South Croydon, Surrey and the prices on this website include me travelling within the M25. For those events outside this area, I will charge my extra travel at cost.

Do you offer video services?
No, I am just a stills photographer.

This all sounds great…what do I do next?
Please contact me to arrange a no-obligation meeting where you’ll get a chance to see more of my work and we can discuss your event in more detail.
